Sensei Matthew Cordwell
6th Dan Kyoshi Judo, 4th Dan Iaido, 3rd Dan Jujitsu, 5th Dan Budo
Matt has been doing judo for over 25 years, most of those were spent with Sensei Blake. Starting at the tender age of just 8 he continued to attend weekly classes even when he was at university and living in Guildford going on to recive his Shodan in 2006.
Sensei Brian Cordwell
6th Dan Renshi Judo, 1st Dan Iaido, 2nd Dan Jujitsu, 5th Dan Budo
Brian started judo shortly after his son Matt, and has risen through the ranks to acheive his Shodan in 2006.
Sensei Geoffrey Hollier
5th Dan Renshi Judo, 3rd Dan Iaido, 1st Dan Jujitsu, 4th Dan Budo
Geoff started Judo at the age of 46, after his children were members, as a way of getting fit . He trained with Sensei Michael Driver and, mostly, Sensei Tony Blake in Judo, as well as Sensei Mike Selvey in Iaido. His interest has grown and he has encompassed the other arts, rising gradually through the ranks and teaching Judo and Iaido.
Sensei Richard Hollier
4th Dan Renshi Judo, 1st Dan Iaido, 2nd Dan Jujitsu, 3rd Dan Budo
Richard has been doing judo for over 20 years all of them under the tutelage of Sensei Tony Blake. Starting at the age of 9, Richard worked hard to achieve his Shodan at the age of 19 in 2009. At 16 Richard began learning Iaido under Sensei Mike Selvey in Croydon and continuing at Yamabushi under the guidance of Sensei's Matt and Geoff attaining his Shodan in 2019. Over the years Richard has also learned the art of Jujitsu achieving his Shodan in 2016.
Sensei Michael Cook
5th Dan Renshi Judo, 3rd Dan JuJitsu
Mike Started judo at an early age in a school in croydon. He Joined the Croydon judo club under the direction of Alan Rickard for several years. Later he joined the Shinto Ryu under the direction of Sensei's Tudor Box and Michel Driver.
